Creare Mechanical R&D Engineer
  
Job Responsibilities
Join the Creare team in Hanover, NH to bring mechanical prototypes and specialized products to life through concept development, analysis, mechanical design, and coordination of fabrication and testing. As a Mechanical R&D Engineer, the focus will be on electro-mechanical and thermal-fluid systems. You will enjoy:
 
  • Variety of Work. Work on several “clean-sheet” R&D projects at a time. Example current/past projects: spacecraft cryogenic systems, compact combustors, vacuum pumps for Mars rovers, compact heat exchangers, aerosol devices for administering pharmaceuticals, liquid nitrogen cooling systems for cutting tools, precision scroll pumps, and turbines with shaft speeds greater than 500,000 rpm.
  • Opportunities to Apply Engineering Principles. Use statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, materials, and mechanical design to develop fabrication processes and design, build, and test experimental hardware, working prototypes, and specialized products.

Professional Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in industry (preferably in R&D), excellent academic credentials (MSME, or equivalent combination of education and experience), the ability to design for a wide range of fabrication processes, capabilities in FEM and CAD, and excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication. P.E. licensure is a plus but not required.
