Job Responsibilities

We are looking for exceptional engineers in either a full-time or part-time capacity with a high interest in design for manufacturing, and the passion, creativity, and skills to support a broad range of product development efforts in a multi-disciplinary environment. Mechanical Design engineers provide the creative design talents and practical know-how needed to bring mechanical prototypes and high-performance products to life.  Projects begin with concept development and proceed through analysis, mechanical design, fabrication, and testing leading to development of prototypes, commercial products, and deployed systems. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, the focus will be on electro-mechanical and thermal-fluid systems.

Key Elements of the Position

  • Startup Environment.  We are in the early stages of launching several product lines that use highly innovative technology to satisfy critical customer needs.  This is an opportunity to get involved at the start.
  • Cutting-Edge Technology. Work on both new product development and manufacturing efforts. Example current/past projects: high-precision laser inspection tool, compact heat exchangers, cryogenic systems, compact combustors, vacuum pumps for Mars rovers,  aerosol devices for administering pharmaceuticals, liquid nitrogen cooling systems for cutting tools, precision scroll pumps, and audiometric headsets.
  • Challenging and Interesting Work. Use statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, materials, and mechanical design experience to design, build, and test experimental hardware, working prototypes, and specialized products.
  • Talented and Creative Colleagues. Team with other creative Engineers, Mechanical Technicians, and Precision Machinists. Project teams are small and highly interdisciplinary.
  • New England College Town. Our location offers exceptional opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast, excellence in schools and medical centers, and proximity to Dartmouth College. Additionally, NH has no State sales or income tax!
