Edare Electronics Engineer (BS-Level)
  
Job Responsibilities

Edare develops and manufactures high technology products for a variety of marketplaces and customers.  Our current product portfolio is focused on the aerospace, medical device, and Government marketplaces.

Responsibilities for the Electronics Engineer position at Edare will be development of circuit design and hardware to support a variety of technologies and products.  Expect equal parts maintenance of current product lines and development of electronics for new products.  A key part of this role will be collaborating with Engineers internal to and external to Edare.  We expect this role to rely on significant collaboration with engineers at our sister firm Creare.  We are looking for a practical minded, well rounded Electronics Engineer that is excited to support designs from concept all the way through production and deployment.

Professional Requirements

Critical Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with circuit and schematic design
  • Layout and PCB design
  • Prototype electronics assembly: breadboarding, soldering, populating SMT board assemblies and wiring
  • Design cable/wiring harnesses, especially for high-speed communication protocols
  • Management of vendors/technical services for production of designed PCB’s and wiring harnesses
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers to inform the design of electronic assemblies
  • Identify and order materials, parts, components, and equipment as needed
  • Provide experimental support, including but not limited to devising test fixtures, testing, running experiments, troubleshooting, and collecting/recording/analyzing data
  • Ensure appropriate documentation control
  • Familiarity with instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Effective task management and communication skills
  • Experience with common CAD tools such as schematic capture and PC board layout tools 

    Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • A working knowledge of some software languages.Knowledge of Python, C, Linux, and Git, is a very big plus
  • Experience in metrology
  • Embedded computing

Professional Requirements

Candidate must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
